Ready to get started on filing your 1099-DIV reporting with BoomTax? This guide will give you a quick overview of how to upload and submit your data to the IRS.
First, after a quick introduction to our import wizard and a checklist of related topics that may help you with your filing, you’ll enter your payer information.
Once you have reviewed and verified your company data, you will be able to choose how you want to enter recipient data. We recommend importing with our Excel spreadsheet sample file.
Or, if you would prefer, you could manually enter the data for each recipient at a time.
Once you have uploaded or entered your recipient data, you can verify your entries on our review page. If you need to add, delete, or modify recipients, you can do so from here. To modify a recipient, simply click on their name.
Once you’re satisfied with your data, you can elect to order our Print & Mail service, wherein we distribute your recipient copies for you, or you can download a PDF of your filing to print and distribute on your own.
When you’re ready to submit your filing to the IRS, simply click the orange IRS e-file button and your filing will be submitted directly. We’ll keep you updated with real-time e-mail notifications as your filing is processed.
