IRS AIR Production Cutover Schedule Released for TY 2023

Today, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) published the yearly AIR Production cutover schedule for the Tax Year 2023 (Filing Season 2024). The temporary shutdown will impact all transmissions related to the Affordable Care Act (ACA), including corrections and replacements.

The shutdown for production will begin at at 7:00 am ET on December 11, 2023. AIR Production will resume on January 11, 2024. Updates on this will be made available on the AIR System Operational Status Page.

Concurrent with the AIR production cutover, the AIR Assurance Testing System (AATS) environment will also be shut down for scheduled maintenance from 7:00 am ET on December 11, 2023, until 5:00 pm ET on December 14, 2023

Submission for tax year 2022 or prior must be submitted and processed before the shutdown starts on December 11, 2023.
