Important 2026 Deadlines for ACA, 1099, & W-2 Forms

As 2025 comes to a close, employers need to get started gathering their data for year end tax reporting. With so many 2026 deadlines to keep track of, we made this guide to help you stay on top of them!

Basic information

When each calendar year, or tax year, ends, employers must ensure that they meet all requirements for filing. This can include submitting filings to the IRS and applicable states, sending out recipient copies, making any necessary corrections, and ensuring that they’ve done all this before the designated due dates.

Now that 2025 is almost over, employers will be expected to fulfill their IRS requirements and meet all 2026 deadlines for Form 1099, Form W-2, and ACA forms.

2026 Deadlines

We recommend getting started on your filings as early as possible. This ensures that you have enough time to collect all required information, complete the necessary forms, and verify accuracy of the information for typos and errors.
